It can happen to any woman that is approaching menopause and beginning to experience symptoms such as sweating at night. Obviously, sweating at night is an uncomfortable, inconvenient, and unpleasant effect of the rigors of menopause, and many women who encounter sweating at night are desperate to find a way to stop it and get back to leading a normal life. Causes of sweating at night

Sweating at night is caused by hormonal imbalances that are the inevitable result of menopause. These imbalances cause an array of unpleasant symptoms because hormones, especially estrogen and progesterone, play such an integral role in so many of the body’s crucial processes. When the imbalance occurs, the body’s internal harmony is upset and symptoms such as sweating at night occur. Sweating at night during menopause may also be triggered by certain dietary, clothing, and other lifestyle choices. • Don’t eat spicy food.
• Drink plenty of water (at least 8 glasses per day).
• Wear light, breathable clothing.
• Keep water beside the bed.
• Use lightweight bed linens.
• Exercise, but not to intensely.

Even without visiting a doctor, there are ways to effectively treat sweating at night. If none of these methods provide relief, women should see a physician to explore other forms of treatment for sweating at night.
